Coconut Grove began in the mid 1800’s as a refuge for Bahamian seamen salvaging ships and fishing the unpopulated waters along the Florida coastline. The “Grove” area was Miami’s first settlement. The district continued to attract its share of individualists. 1925 was the year Coconut Grove Realty Corporation was established, making it one of the oldest real estate companies in Dade County. 1926 was the year of the “Big Hurricane”; the opening of Biltmore Hotel; the year the University of Miami was established; and the year construction began on the Coconut Grove Playhouse. In the 1930’s, the famed “Pan Am Clippers” were based at Dinner key Marina, as this area was the Pan American hub for flights to South America. In 1973, Coconut Grove celebrated its 100th birthday, making it one of Miami’s oldest and most unique neighborhoods. Today, diverse elements have blended together to form Coconut Grove’s special character. It is now known as a sophisticated urban neighborhood, but has managed to retain its small village charm and lush landscaping. There is a strong sense of community spirit here.

Coconut Grove Realty Corporation was established in 1925 by the Kent family and purchased by the present owners, the Koroglu’s, in 1978. Hakki Koroglu is the Vice-President of Coconut Grove Realty Corp. He owns the building in which we reside, and is also the location of his office, Koroglu & Associates, Architects. Randie Koroglu is the President, as well as the Broker of Coconut Grove Realty Corp. Not only has our company been established for a long time, our associates have a long history in the business and many began their careers with Coconut Grove Realty! Our agents continually strive to retain and improve their professionalism, since real estate is not only a job to them, but a lifetime career and commitment. We have one office, but our sales volume equals, if not exceeds, that of the larger, multi-office real estate companies in our area. We have worked hard to get where we are, and we will continually give our best to stay on top in the years to come.
